Why licensed investigation gates belong at intake
A case that cannot be lawfully opened in a jurisdiction should be refused before analyst work begins.
Licensed investigation is a legitimate service line, but it is not portable by default. The controlling question is whether the business and people are licensed in the jurisdiction where the work occurs.
JTF's case intake model refuses regulated work in jurisdictions without the required licence. That refusal is a compliance signal, not lost revenue.
When the licence gate passes, the case still needs lawful basis, source provenance, and a reporting trail that can be audited.
